The Beauty of Unity

How wonderful it is when God's people get along like brothers and sisters! It's described as precious oil poured over a high priest's head, and like morning dew on a mountain. Where there is unity, God commands His blessing — life forever!

  1. 1How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!
  2. 2It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard, down upon the collar of his robe.
  3. 3It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the LORD bestows His blessing, even life forevermore.

What it means

When people live in harmony and love each other, it is one of the most beautiful things in the world. God commands His blessing where there is unity. Getting along with others really does please God.

A little prayer

Lord, help me to live in peace with my family and friends. It is so good when people love each other! Let Your blessing flow wherever there is unity and kindness. Amen.

Pour a little oil on a plate and watch how far it travels. Talk about what spreads in a family — kindness and grumpiness both. Read verses 1 and 2.
